Mini Dental Implant Process Explained

In this video, Dr. Chris Powell explains the mini dental implant process, including a CBCT scan, surgical guide, and more.

People often inquire about the process of getting a mini dental implant. During your consultation, we conduct a CBCT (3D X-ray) to precisely plan the placement of the implant and ensure it avoids critical structures. Following this, we typically order a surgical guide, which takes approximately three to four weeks to prepare.

On the day of the procedure, we administer local anesthesia to ensure your comfort. The implant placement itself typically takes about 20-30 minutes. Afterward, you may be prescribed antibiotics, though most patients find that over-the-counter ibuprofen is sufficient for managing any discomfort.

If you have concerns about dental implants or potential discomfort, I encourage you to schedule a free consultation. This will allow us to evaluate your suitability for mini dental implants and address any questions you may have about the process.
