What Is a Dental Bridge?
In this video, Dr. Chris Powell explains what a dental bridge is and how it can effectively replace a missing tooth, restoring your smile with a secure, permanent solution.
Many people are curious about what a dental bridge is. Essentially, if you’re missing a tooth and wish to replace it, a dental bridge is one of the options available. A bridge requires the presence of a natural tooth on each side of the gap left by the missing tooth. It consists of three or four crowns that are fused together to form a single structure.
The bridge is permanently cemented into place, anchoring it securely to the adjacent teeth. Once installed, you care for it just as you would your natural teeth or any other dental crown—through regular brushing and maintenance.
If you are considering this option, I recommend coming in for a consultation to determine if you are a suitable candidate for a dental bridge. This visit will allow us to assess your specific needs and discuss the best possible treatment for restoring your smile.
