The Dental Bridge Process

In this video, Dr. Chris Powell explains the dental bridge process to restore your smile effectively.

The process of getting a dental bridge is akin to that of getting a crown, but it involves multiple teeth. Here’s a step-by-step outline:

Preparation: We begin by preparing the teeth adjacent to the gap by slightly reducing their size. This ensures adequate space for the porcelain bridge.

Impression or Scan: Next, we take an impression or a digital scan of your teeth. This detailed measurement is used to create a precise model for the dental laboratory.

Laboratory Fabrication: The impression or scan is sent to a dental laboratory where skilled technicians craft your custom three or four-unit ceramic bridge. This fabrication process typically takes about two weeks.

Placement Appointment: Once the bridge is ready, you return for a second appointment. During this visit, we carefully place and bond the bridge to your prepared teeth, ensuring a secure fit and natural appearance.

This process allows us to restore missing teeth effectively, providing you with a durable and aesthetically pleasing solution to improve your smile and dental function.
