What Is a Snap-In Denture?
In this video, Dr. Chris Powell explains snap-in dentures, which securely attach to implants, offering a stable and adhesive-free alternative to traditional dentures.
People often inquire about what a snap-in denture is. To visualize it, imagine having two, four, or even six implants protruding from your gums, similar to how trailer balls stick out on a vehicle. The implants serve as these ‘trailer balls,’ and the underside of the denture has a corresponding ‘trailer hitch’ mechanism. This setup allows the denture to snap securely onto the implants.
Unlike traditional dentures, snap-in dentures are stable and do not shift or require adhesive to stay in place. You still remove them at night and clean the implants just as you would natural teeth, ensuring good oral hygiene. This type of denture significantly improves the ability to chew and eat comfortably.
If you’re currently using denture adhesive but are looking for a more stable and comfortable alternative, consider coming in for a free consultation to see if you’re a candidate for snap-in dentures. This could be a transformative solution for your dental needs.
